Happy New Year! It was great to see so many of you last week at our annual Christmas get together. Please continue to pray for each other and for all the members of our Northside Kairos community.
Next year's (I guess now it's this year's) retreat will be August 12-15, 2011. To ensure that our retreat is successful, we need to start preparing for it now.
Below are some links of interest. If you have a friend who might be interested in going on Northside Kairos XII, give them a copy of the brochure below, which answers a lot of their questions, and give them a copy of the application to fill out. If you went on Northside Kairos X or XI and would be interested in being a small group leader or a rector, fill out the leader application below. Leader applications are due at the end of February!

Kairos X alert - time to get retreatants
Hello NS Kairos community!
This year's Kairos will be August 7-10, and we're looking for retreatants. The application is available at this link: Retreatant Application.
For those of you who have gone, please encourage your friends to give themselves the gift of this experience. Talk to their parents, and encourage them as well.
If you haven't yet gone on a Kairos, and would like to experience a co-ed, multi-ethnic, multi-parish four day retreat designed for teenagers who have just completed sophomore, junior or senior year of high school, please check out the link above. What better way could you spend four days this August than reflecting on and deepening your relationship with God, others and yourself?

Find friends who might be good candidates for going on the retreat next year and start talking to them NOW. Give them a brochure, give them an application.
We need leaders and rectors. If you want to be guaranteed an interview for next year's NS Kairos, make sure you turn in an application ASAP. If you have a friend who went on a different Kairos, let them know. We value being an inclusive retreat that draws people from lots of places.

A "Living the 4th" opportunity
Hey Kaironians!
Just a quick update and an opportunity to live the 4th through prayer. Starting this week, St. Procopius parish is hosting a novena for the feast of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta:
August 27- September 4th
Every day starting at 5:00pm
St. Procopius Chapel
(next door to the church on 18th street in the garden)
Mass on the feast of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta
